Learn how the new SAP Support Backbone update affects
SAP Solution Manager and Focused Run

SAP’s Support Backbone is the central infrastructure located at SAP, which provides technical support to SAP customers. The Support Backbone consists of several different systems:

  • Provides the SAP Support Portal infrastructure for managing SAP Support Incidents
  • Management of support data for Maintenance Planner
  • SAP EarlyWatch Alert Reports

SAP Solution Manager and Focused Run for SAP Solution Manager connects to the SAP Support Backbone in order to exchange data. Necessary actions are needed to support incidents and system data for Maintenance Planner. In addition, this includes SAP EarlyWatch Alert data.

To ensure ongoing compliance as well as continuous connectivity, all SAP customers will need to switch the communication of SAP Solution Manager and Focused Run to the new infrastructure.
